°Workshop Adorabel Mime & Face Paint°

This workshop consist of 3 parts:

  • 1. To make a living statue costume
  • 2. Face and body paint
  • 3. Mime

It's possible to do the whole workshop but you can also choose to book 1 or 2 parts. Therefore we can make sure that the workshop fits into your time frame and budget.

The facepaint and mime course lasts 1,5 hours. But they can always be extended at your request.

The workshop offers room for a group up to 8 people. For groups of more than 8 people, I cannot guarantee personal attention for each member. Smaller groups are also good for creating a bond within the group.

The one exception is if you book the workshop mime section, apart from the other workshops. In this instance we can work with up to 14 members.

Adorabel often gives workshops at schools and community houses. The workshops are often completed with a presentation. Usually it gains a lot of publicity and it's a great way to involve a community at a festive event.

Targets

The workshop has one main target, and that is to conjure the contestants into living statues, but they will work on much more then that during the course, such as:

  • I will experience silence in my surrounding and more importantly, within myself
  • I will learn to accept and appreciate peace and quiet
  • I will work on my confidence
  • I will learn to divide my energy
  • I will learn to stick by myself and keep my focus and concentration
  • I will experience how it feels to be conscious of my body
  • I will experience how it feels to suppress first impulses (such as a itch)
  • I won't let others deduce me
  • I will make my own decision about the way my costume is going to look
  • I will try to imitate a certain material, after I've compared several materials
  • I will learn how to imitate structure, how to use colours and how to bring depth into my costume and facepaint
  • I will learn to stand tall
  • I will learn to listen and feel how others respond to me
  • I will learn how to seek interaction and to learn about the importance of facial expression
  • I will learn to give feedback
